Step-By-Step Instructions
STEP 1 — PREPARE THE AREA
Prepare the Ground
Prepare and level the area where you want to install your concrete curbing. Remove any grass, roots, or loose soil as needed.

STEP 2 — Setting Forms
Position the First Form
Unroll one ROCKA DESIGN™ Custom Curb Maker form and place it along one side of the prepared area. Shape the form to follow the curves and layout you want for your curbing. Use the small anchor pins (included) to secure the form and hold its shape.
Add the Second Form
Unroll the second ROCKA DESIGN™ Custom Curb Maker form and position it parallel to the first form. Use the large 6” wide spacer pins between the two forms to maintain a consistent 6-inch width. Continue shaping the second form to follow the same curves as the first, securing it with the smaller anchor pins, included.
Don't Worry About Perfect Alignment
The forms may look slightly uneven or wavy before the concrete is added. This is normal. Once the concrete is placed between the forms, its weight will help hold the forms in position.
Close the Ends
At each end of the curbing, simply loop the form around from one side to the other to close off the end. Secure the end with a small anchor pin.

STEP 3 — MIX AND PLACE THE CONCRETE
Mix Your Concrete
Follow the mixing instructions on your concrete bag for the proper amount of water and mixing procedure. You are looking for a consistency similar to peanut butter—thick enough to hold its shape, but workable.
Fill the Forms
Place the mixed concrete between the two ROCKA DESIGN™ Custom Curb Maker forms. Fill the forms at least 2/3 of the way up. This will give you a finished curb approximately 2½ inches thick.
Level and Tap the Concrete
Level the concrete between the forms. As you work, continually tap the surface of the concrete.
Tapping the surface helps settle the aggregate down into the concrete, allowing more cement paste to rise to the surface. This creates a smoother finished surface. If you skip this step, the finished curb may have a rougher, more exposed-aggregate surface.

STEP 4 — Expanding Curb
Move to the Next Section
Once you are satisfied with the first section, continue to the next section of curbing and repeat the process.

Remove the Pins and Spacers
Once the concrete has been filled, leveled, and tapped, carefully remove the small anchor pins and large 6-inch spacer pins.
Remove the Forms
Gently remove the ROCKA DESIGN™ Custom Curb Maker forms from the concrete. A slight shake or gentle wiggle of the flexible forms will help release them from the concrete.

STEP 5 — Shaping Curb
Shape the Curb
Using your ROCKA DESIGN™ Custom Curb Maker Sizer tool run it carefully along the entire length of the curb. This will help create an even 6-inch-wide curb from beginning to end.
Continue shaping the concrete with your Sizer Tool, smoothing and correcting the edges as needed. Tap any rough areas to help settle the aggregate and create a smoother surface.

STEP 6 — DIVIDING SECTIONS
If you desire, you can divide sections of your curbing to make it look more unique. While the concrete is still wet, just cut in with a trowel where you want the sections to be and tap around the edges to make it smooth.
TIP: You don't have to complete the entire project in one day. You can make your curbing one section at a time, allow each section to cure, and then return the next day to pick up where you left off. Make sure to wash off the curbing forms to keep clean between projects.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Remove any grass, rocks, etc from the area you want your stones. Then level the dirt to make the surface smooth.
You can use regular or fast-setting concrete mix. If you want to make the process fast and easy use the fast-setting concrete mix.
Once you add the concrete in the form, the form can be removed in approx. 1minute.
The ROCKA DESIGN™ Custom Curb Maker is designed for beginners — just basic tools are needed, like a trowel, shovel.
Once cured, the curbs are strong, weather‑resistant, and built to last.
To smooth along the top and sides use a trowel or your gloved hands and lightly tap the surface to remove any bubbles and to push down small rocks already in the concrete to create a smooth look. The more you tap the smoother the surface will become. If you find it beginning to dry out just use a spray bottle and spray on some water and continue to tap. If you want texture you can use a brush or your gloved hand and pass it across the surface.
Yes. But if you find it difficult to lift a 50 lb bag of concrete then you will need assistance.
The form at its largest size will hold two 50 lb bags of concrete, thus creating an 8' section.
It is extremely easy. Just shape the form to the length of your 1st curb section, add your concrete and after a couple of seconds remove the form or slide it down to create another curb section. Repeat the process till you have the length of curbing needed for your garden. That's it. No back breaking work.
ROCKA DESIGN™ Custom Curb Maker is extremely durable and will last for many years, but some care should be taken to insure longevity. Always wash the form before storing and do not leave out in extreme heat for long periods of time with concrete on the form, this could cause damage to the form.
Yes — dramatically. Professional curb installation can cost hundreds. ROCKA DESIGN™ Custom Curb Maker lets you create the same polished look for a fraction of the price.
